Ed Clark
Mr Clark is an expert in conducting national-level vulnerability assessments. While serving as the Director of the Homeland Security Threats Office, he developed the CARVER+Shock Vulnerability Assessment Tool which was recently adopted and fielded by the USDA and FDA. National level vulnerability assessment experience includes serving as the security consultant for the White House Interagency Food Workgroup whose work on Milk, Infant Formula, Meat Products, and Liquid Egg products resulted in HSPD-9. Mr. Clark’s most recent effort in securing our Nation found him serving as the senior security consultant for the US Coast Guard as they implemented the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 where he played a key role in implementing this critical legislation and assisting in the review of over 3500 security plans. Mr Clark is a Special Forces Officer with 24 years of experience, has a masters of science degree in computer information systems, and is also an expert in information security, open source intelligence, and Red Team Operations. Mr. Clark has conducted vulnerability assessments and Red Team Assessments for the following organizations:

Dr. Carl Schultz, professor of emergency medicine, is a nationally recognized expert in bioterrorism and medical responses to disasters. He is a member of the State of California Disaster Advisory Group, serves on two national task forces on terrorism and is a consultant to the national ANSER Institute for Homeland Security. He has published several papers on hospital preparedness both for incidents of bioterrorism and earthquake preparedness. He has commented frequently on the similarities between responses to earthquakes and preparations for a bioterrorist attack.

Kathleen M. Sweet is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Aviation Technology at Purdue University where she teaches courses in Aviation Security, Terrorism and Strategic Intelligence. She is CEO and President of Risk Management Security Group and is certified by the UK and Irish Department of Transport to teach air cargo security. Dr. Sweet received her undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in Russian Area Studies and she has a Master's Degree in history from Temple University. She also has been admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania and Texas after graduating from Beasley School of Law, Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is a graduate of many Air Force and civilian training programs.
After graduating from law school, Dr. Sweet joined Wyeth International Pharmaceuticals as a legal specialist focused on licensing agreements between Wyeth and international agencies. She later joined the US Air Force and initially was a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Department. She frequently served as Director of Military Justice at the base and Numbered Air Force level. After fifteen years as a JAG, and generally engaged in prosecuting cases on behalf of the military, she transferred to the 353rd Special Operations Wing as a military political affairs officer. She was later an intelligence officer assigned to HQ AMC as an executive officer and briefer. In 1995, she became an Assistant Air Attaché to the Russian Federation. As an attaché, she was engaged in liaison work not only with the Russian Air Force but also the Federal Security Bureau, at which time she became interested in counter terrorism efforts.
Her final Air Force assignment was as an instructor at the Air War College where she taught in the International Security Studies division. She later became an Associate Professor at St. Cloud State University in the Department of Criminal Justice and an Associate Professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University; teaching security and intelligence related courses. She is the author of four books, Terrorism and Airport Security, (Edwin Mellen Preses, March 2002); Aviation and Airport Security: Terrorism and Safety Concerns (Prentice Hall Publishers, Nov 2003), The Transportation Security Directory (Grey House Publishing, Jan 2005.) and Transportation and Cargo Security: Threats and Solutions, Prentice Hall Publishers, August 2005). She is considered an expert in the field of airport, aviation and air cargo security and has been well published in the fields of international space programs and associated treaties, space based offensive weapons, bio-terrorism and aviation security.
Her company, Risk Management Security Group, doing business in Ireland as RMSG Ireland Ltd., engages in all aspects of consulting in transportation-related security: including the preparation of threat and vulnerability assessments and security awareness training.
As CEO of Risk Management Security Group she is certified by the UK and Irish Department of Transport to teach air cargo security. Gary Simon, MD, PhD, is a senior faculty member at the George Washington University where he is Professor of Medicine and of Microbiology and Tropical Medicine. He is a member of the Center for Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee at GW and of the Executive Committee of the George Washington University Hospital. Mark Shaheen, a former Foreign Service Officer, recently headed Middle Eastern counterterrorism efforts in the Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the State Department. There, he was responsible for leading critical counterterrorism initiatives, coordinating U.S. policy within the interagency community, as well as numerous bilateral security efforts in the Middle East, including countering terrorist finance. Prior to this position, Shaheen served on the staffs of two Secretaries of State. His overseas service included work as a political and economic officer at the U.S. Interests Section in Havana, Cuba and as Special Assistant to the Ambassador at the U.S. Embassy in London.

Matthew Farr - Senior Homeland Security Analyst
Matthew Farr is the Senior Homeland Security Analyst for Frost & Sullivan's
Aerospace & Defense Group. In his role, he is involved in all aspects of the
detailed research, analysis, interpretation and reporting of market
engineering and consulting research projects across North America, Europe,
Middle East, Africa and Asia.
While working with Frost & Sullivan, Mr. Farr has authored studies on the
chemical and biological detection markets, explosive detection, federal
homeland security, information assurance, and border security markets. Mr.
Farr has also been invited to speak at a number of conferences including the
Global Emergency Management Conference in Canada, the Northrop Grumman's
2005 Homeland Security Conference, as well as the Information Technology
Association of America annual conference in D.C.
