EMCOR Group, Inc. Subsidiary Awarded Contract for Electrical Systems Installation at George Mason University Biomedical Research Lab

NORWALK, Conn.--Dec 11 2008 EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that the Washington D.C. branch of Dynalectric Company subsidiary has received a contract for electrical services at George Mason University Biomedical Research Lab in Manassas, Virginia.

Dynalectric Company will be responsible for the construction of nine labs, seven prep areas, as well as general offices at the 56,000 square foot facility. The Biomedical Research Lab will contain Biosafety Level 2 and 3 laboratories where George Mason University researchers will develop the next generation of vaccines, treatments and diagnostics to help protect citizens against biological terrorism and infectious diseases. Research at the facility will focus on newly emerging diseases such as SARS, avian influenza and West Nile virus, as well as anthrax, plague and tularemia.
