Defense Stocks News - Optex Systems Receives $1.9 Million Purchase Order From General Dynamics Land Systems

RICHARDSON, Texas - Optex Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: OPXS.OB), a leading manufacturer of optical sighting systems and assemblies primarily for Department of Defense applications, today announced that General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), awarded Optex a $1.9 million purchase order for additional ICWS (Improved Commander's Weapon Station) Periscopes. The ICWS Periscopes are a critical component of the M1A2 Abrams Tank; and additionally, Optex is currently manufacturing other plastic periscopes for General Dynamics Land Systems for the M1A2 Abrams Tank.

Delivery of the ICWS Periscopes is scheduled to begin in January 2011 and continue through February 2013.
